Does potting soil and garden supplies count as essential items? If you're a gardener, the answer is probably yes! During this period of sheltering in place, I have been scouring online home improvement and plant/seed sources. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Home Depot makes next day deliveries on small bag potting mixes and peat pots for $8.99. That was a huge savings versus Lowes that wanted $69 for shipping four bags of potting mix. I ordered on Sunday afternoon and the products below were delivered by Monday afternoon. Home Depot also offers free shipping on orders over $50. Some items will fall in the $8.99 shipping rate, but that is still a great deal to avoid unneccessary contact.
