- Wash green onions and remove any wilted, damaged, or brown pieces.
- Dry and cut onions into small slices.
- Place in a single layer on a cookie sheet or tray and place in freezer until frozen. This step allows the onions to freeze without sticking in a clump.
- Remove from freezer and place into small freezer bags or plastic containers.
- Various articles state that the frozen onions will remain good for three months to six months.
